A short set of questions to sit with for a week. One per day, Monday through Friday. Saturday to review. Sunday to name the one thing and act on it.
The questions are not designed to be skimmed. The point of the middle three is to make the answer to the last one honest.
Monday, April 27
Where in my life do I still look the same as I did a year ago?
Habits, reactions, thought patterns, relationships.
2 Corinthians 3:18 — We are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory.
Tuesday, April 28
What sin, struggle, or pattern do I keep managing instead of surrendering?
Am I trying to control it… or actually kill it?
Romans 8:13 — By the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, and you will live.
Wednesday, April 29
Am I more focused on behavior change or heart change?
Am I just modifying actions, or letting Jesus transform me?
Ezekiel 36:26 — I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.
Thursday, April 30
Where am I still trying to earn what Jesus already finished?
Colossians 2:13–14 — debt canceled… do I live like it?
Colossians 2:13–14 — He canceled the record of debt that stood against us, nailing it to the cross.
Friday, May 1
What is one area I need to fully “put to death” this week?
Name it clearly. No vague answers.
Colossians 3:5 — Put to death therefore what is earthly in you.
How to use these
- One per day, not all at once. The questions compound.
- Write the answers down somewhere private. A locked note, a journal, an encrypted file — whatever works.
- Question 5 needs a verb and a deadline. “Be less impatient” is vague. “When I feel the tightness, I leave the room for thirty seconds before responding, starting Monday” is killable.
